Pacfinance was a Blast lender whose legacy positions may qualify for partial withdrawals
Last updated -
Pacfinance was a lender on Blast, and selected legacy aToken positions can qualify for partial withdrawals through DeFiReclaim. Its original application became unavailable, and the protocol became deprecated. When the relevant lending Pool holds less underlying cash than a wallet’s aToken balance, the service caps its proposed withdrawal below available liquidity. Unused aTokens stay in the wallet. A specific wallet and market qualify only while the complete Router withdrawal and fee settlement pass the service’s current checks.
Available Pool cash limits the redeemable portion
The underlying cash available in the selected reserve sets a partial-withdrawal ceiling when it falls below the wallet’s aToken balance. The aToken records a supplied position in that reserve; the underlying token is the asset the Pool releases on redemption.
DeFiReclaim sets the proposed amount below available liquidity in the cash-limited case. A partial-exit quote can therefore show a redeemable amount below both the wallet’s balance and the reserve’s displayed cash.
How do aTokens become a partial payout?
A partial payout comes from redeeming the selected aTokens through the original Pool. The calculated approval amount controls the input, while the Router distributes the resulting underlying.
Approval covers the calculated redemption
The allowlisted Pac adapter calls the original Aave V3-compatible Pool for the supported position. It returns the withdrawn underlying to the Router. The wallet approves only the freshly calculated aToken amount for this route. Approval authorizes token use; the actual withdrawal still has to satisfy the original Pool’s conditions.
The Router divides the withdrawn underlying
DeFiReclaim’s Pacfinance exit terms, last reviewed August 30, 2026, assign 90% of withdrawn underlying to the user. The remaining 10% goes to the service treasury within the same atomic settlement. This fee base is the amount the Pool actually releases for that exit. The split applies to a partial redemption’s withdrawn portion, so the unused aToken balance stays outside that settlement.
Read-only checks and withdrawal methods require different permissions
The address-only check reads public state without a signature. Token-moving methods have their own authorization and recipient rules. Direct Pool calls and historical wrapper methods exposed recipient arguments, while DeFiReclaim’s described settlement distributes proceeds to the user and service treasury.
| Operation | Applicable scope | Token movement | Authorization and recipient |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public address check | DeFiReclaim wallet eligibility | No token movement | No wallet connection or signature |
| DeFiReclaim partial exit | Selected Blast aToken positions | Withdrawn underlying passes through the Router | Calculated aToken approval; payout to user and treasury |
| Direct Pool withdrawal | Historical alternative in the April 2024 audit | Original Pool redeems aTokens | Caller redeems their aTokens and chooses the underlying recipient |
| PacPoolWrapper ETH withdrawal | Legacy ETH withdrawal method | Wrapper received aTokens before Pool withdrawal | Caller approves aToken transfer; payout goes to the named recipient |
| PacPoolWrapper ERC-20 withdrawal | Legacy ERC-20 withdrawal method | Wrapper received aTokens before Pool withdrawal | Caller approves aToken transfer; payout goes to the named recipient |
The Salus review dated April 1, 2024 discussed direct Pool withdrawal for remaining tokens affected by wrapper rounding. That historical alternative concerned the original contracts. DeFiReclaim applies separate support requirements to its own Router integration.
What makes a partial exit eligible for DeFiReclaim?
A partial exit qualifies only when its wallet and market pass the complete approval, Router withdrawal and exact 90/10 settlement checks. DeFiReclaim requires a successful Blast mainnet-fork test and a fresh simulation for the route. Both concern the particular position and transaction, not universal access to a market.
The service’s Pacfinance support description, last reviewed August 30, 2026, covers selected positions across four fork-tested markets. A candidate with a working direct Pool withdrawal can still fall outside that support. DeFiReclaim excludes it when the complete state-changing Router route does not pass.
Positions used as collateral also faced account-health checks when the wallet had outstanding borrowing. Available cash alone could not make those collateral balances freely withdrawable.
A simulation tests the proposed action against chain state. A passing result reserves no liquidity and leaves the actual withdrawal unexecuted.
Unused aTokens and net proceeds represent different amounts
A liquidity-capped DeFiReclaim exit leaves unused aTokens in the user’s wallet. Those tokens represent the unredeemed portion of the selected position. The net underlying payout represents the user’s share of the amount actually redeemed. A smaller wallet receipt can therefore reflect both a capped redemption and its service fee. The remaining aTokens retain their connection to the original market and its liquidity constraints.
Shared liquidity changes the amount available for a later withdrawal
A later withdrawal depends on the reserve’s cash and the wallet’s position at that later time. The original liquidity cap does not fix future access to the unredeemed portion.
Other withdrawals use the same reserve
Pacfinance’s remaining market liquidity is shared among positions using that reserve. Earlier confirmed withdrawals can reduce the underlying cash available for a subsequent exit. A balance recorded in one wallet does not hold that cash aside. The initial inspection and any later transaction therefore concern different moments, even when the receipt-token balance appears similar.
A later route needs current balances and liquidity
Before requesting a signature, DeFiReclaim rechecks the live aToken balance, underlying cash and original Pool withdrawal. It then simulates the complete Router transaction. A previously acceptable quote cannot substitute for those current conditions.
If the current balance, liquidity or Router checks fail, the service does not offer that withdrawal for signing.
Helpful answers
Do I need to provide a seed phrase for the partial-exit check?
DeFiReclaim’s address-only check requires a public wallet address, with no seed phrase or signature. It also works without connecting a wallet. This inspection concerns the matching Blast position; it does not authorize token transfers.
Does a partial Pacfinance redemption include native-yield claims?
The legacy contracts handled native-yield claims separately from Pool withdrawals. NativeYieldDistribute calculated pending yield from settled distribution rounds, and its claimYield function required an unpaused contract. A partial Pool redemption records withdrawal of underlying assets; it does not confirm payment of that separate yield claim.
Did the April 2024 Salus audit cover DeFiReclaim’s exit Router?
The April 1, 2024 Salus audit covered the original Pacfinance contracts, including the Pool, PacPoolWrapper and NativeYieldDistribute. Its listed scope did not include DeFiReclaim’s exit Router, adapter or fee splitter. The historical wrapper findings apply to the reviewed code, while the service’s current exit uses its own contracts and execution checks.
Can the old wrapper’s recipient field redirect a DeFiReclaim payout?
The old wrapper’s recipient field does not control DeFiReclaim’s separate Router settlement. The service’s documented split sends the user’s share to the user’s wallet and the service share to its treasury.
Will an old ETH deposit always return native ETH through the partial-exit route?
DeFiReclaim distributes the underlying asset the selected Pool reserve actually withdraws. The historical wrapper exposed separate ETH and ERC-20 withdrawal methods. Its ETH method belongs to that wrapper; the service route’s proposed output identifies the asset its partial redemption will distribute.
Is a partial exit the same as repaying an outstanding loan?
A partial withdrawal redeems supplied assets; it does not by itself repay a loan. The legacy Pool exposed repayment as a distinct operation. A redemption payout and an outstanding borrowing balance can therefore coexist in the same account.
